PS4, PS5 RPG Trilogy Being Delisted From PS Store for Good Reason

PS5 update

A well-known PS4 and PS5 RPG trilogy will be delisted from the PS Store this year. Luckily, it’s for a pretty good reason, but with one caveat.

Atelier Ryza games will be delisted from the PS Store later this year

Koei Tecmo recently updated the PS Store pages for the original Atelier Ryza games, stating that the games will be delisted on November 12. Specifically, this pertains to Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout, Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends and the Secret Fairy, and Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key. This is due to the release of the Atelier Ryza Secret Trilogy Deluxe Pack, which includes DX versions of each game.

The one caveat is that owners of the old Atelier Ryza games can’t upgrade to the new DX versions. A price for the Atelier Ryza Secret Trilogy Pack is not yet known, but it will be released for PS5 and PS4 on November 13. Anyone interested in these new versions can check out the trailer above.

Along with the three games, the Atelier Ryza Secret Trilogy Pack will include new story content and playable characters. It will also include new features, like swimsuit costumes, photo mode, stylish weapon skins, and more.

The Atelier Ryza trilogy seems to receive decent reviews. According to the review aggregate site Metacritic, the first entry had garnered an average score of 75 across 21 critic reviews. We reviewed the second entry, which we gave a 7 out of 10.

“A lack of next-generation features isn’t surprising to see this early on in the PS5’s lifecycle, but at least load times are non-existent here,” says our review. “Atelier Ryza 2 is an easy game to enjoy without thinking too much, and sometimes that’s just what the alchemist ordered.”
