Obsidian Entertainment has revealed details about the companions that can join you in The Outer Worlds 2, making sure to clarify that there won’t be any romance, just like in the first game.
Revealed during Gamescom Opening Night Live, there are six total companions in The Outer Worlds 2, each coming from a different faction and sporting a different set of skills. Niles comes from the Earth Directorate, excels in engineering, and appears to have stealth abilities like invisibility. Valerie is a robot companion also from the Earth Directorate, armed with two turrets. Aza is from The Glorious Dawn, and takes the role of the bloodthirsty assassin.
Inez comes from Auntie’s Choice and serves as your field medic, in addition to using her biomedical enhancements to take out enemies. Marisol is part of the Order of the Ascendent faction, and she appears to absorb an enemy’s essence in the trailer. Last is Tristan from the Protectorate, who wields a giant hammer and looks like he loves to punish rule-breakers.
