Are you eager to look for all weapons in Ghost of Yotei? Your character, Atsu, is out for blood after her family was murdered. It goes without saying that you need various armaments to bring down your targets. Our guide has all the details to help you out, but be forewarned that there are minor spoilers ahead.
Where to find all weapons in Ghost of Yotei – Melee, ranged, and quickfire weapons guide
The weapons in the game are subdivided into three categories: Melee, ranged, and quickfire–i.e. throwable contraptions. Rather than going by these groupings, we’ve opted to organize our guide based on the region. As such, we look at the armaments found in Yotei Grasslands first. From there, the campaign branches out since you can tackle main quests in other zones in any order.
Note 1: When you obtain certain weapon types, you might notice additional skills that you can unlock via Altars of Reflection.
Note 2: Some vendor NPCs may offer new wares, such as charms/accessories, if you’ve just picked up a weapon type.
Katana
- Type: Melee
- Location: This is your default weapon in Ghost of Yotei. It’s available at the start of the campaign.
Hankyu
- Type: Ranged
- Location: This shortbow can be purchased from Ran the Bowyer for 300 mon. She first appears in the Old Inn.
Yumi
- Type: Ranged
- Location: Similar to the Hankyu, the Yumi longbow can also be purchased from Ran the Bowyer. It’s a lot more expensive since it costs 2,000 mon.
Dual Katanas
- Type: Melee
- Location: You learn this technique by completing the Way of the Dual Katana main mission in Yotei Grasslands.
Metsubushi
- Type: Quickfire
- Location: To get this Ghost of Yotei weapon, you must pick up the Crow Genzo bounty at the Old Inn. Make your way to the marked location, which is a graveyard at the western section of the zone. Face Genzo and eliminate him to receive this reward. Note that there’s also an Altar of Reflection nearby.
Yari
- Type: Melee
- Location: When you arrive at Ishikari Plain, you’ll learn about a Yari master who lives in Howling Cove. You can visit him at your leisure to complete the Way of the Yari side quest.
That does it for our guide on where to find all weapons in Ghost of Yotei. We’ll update our article once we discover other armaments, so stay tuned. In the meantime, we encourage you to take a look at our armors guide and charms guide.
