Death Stranding 2: On the Beach (PS5)
$50 (was $70)
Set in a post-apocalyptic world where humanity has been driven to the brink of extinction, Death Stranding 2 is set one year after the first game and it once again follows Sam Porter Bridges on a new mission to connect the scattered people of Australia to the Chiral Network of the UCA, the remains of what was once the United States of America. Death Stranding 2 improves on the original game’s various systems, and if you’re in the mood for a surprisingly zen-like experience of hauling cargo, dodging deadly phantoms, and a strange storyline, then this game might just appeal to you.
Like its predecessor, Death Stranding 2 is a polarizing game, but if you enjoyed the original, the sequel is arguably even better from a gameplay and exploration perspective. Like the original, it features excellent performances from its star-studded cast. Along with top-notch presentation, Death Stranding 2 is an exceedingly polished experience with compelling systems and a more varied gameplay loop than the original.
