It’s dangerous to go alone, so developer Poncle is adding online co-op to Vampire Survivors this fall. Up to four players can fight against the undead together in the roguelike game when version 1.14 drops later this year.
Poncle revealed the new online co-op mode for Vampire Survivors on YouTube. The trailer–seen below–shows how players can either create or join a lobby, with an ID number seemingly utilized to group up. It’s unclear whether there will be cross-play at this time. “Free roam the stages whilst your friend struggles to find their way through Astral Stair, or maybe see if you can all survive Room 1665 … More players doesn’t make it easier, or does it,” Poncle wrote in the video’s description.
The Vampire Survivors video also features five different cards for version 1.14, with online co-op being the first one unveiled. Poncle stated that another announcement will occur next week. The developer teased that “we might finally answer a burning question that has been asked thousands of times.”
