Set in a dark future, The Last Ronin tells the story of a lone Ninja Turtle who lives in a version of New York City that has buckled under the weight of totalitarianism. Ruled by Oroku Hiroto, grandson of the Shredder, The Last Ronin is the “final” adventure of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from an alternate timeline, but not the end of their legend. This graphic novel is a hardcover release that collects all five issues from the mini-series, and it features incredible art from illustrators like Esau & Isaac Escorza and Ben Bishop.

The Last Ronin was massively popular, and it wasn’t long before a sequel series was published under the title of The Last Ronin 2: Re-Evolution. This mini-series followed a new generation of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles who rise up to save New York from warring gangs in this oversized hardcover edition. The original creative team was reunited for this series, and this collected edition was released earlier this year.
