PS Plus Essential November 2025 monthly free games have begun rolling out, starting with Japan and Asia, where it’s Tuesday, November 4. The lineup will go live in the remaining regions at noon local time tomorrow, making this your last chance to claim October’s monthly games, if you haven’t already.
PS Plus Essential November 2025 lineup brings back a hit 2022 PS Plus Extra game
This month’s free games have earned a mixed reception because they’re headlined by PS5 and PS4 cat adventure Stray, which launched straight into the Extra tier back in 2022. However, the target here are those who have the most basic PS Plus plan, so the idea isn’t to please Extra and Premium members.
Unless Essential users have downgraded from Extra, they haven’t had free access to Stray until now.
Other games joining the November lineup are EA Sports WRC 24 (PS5) and Totally Accurate Battle Simulator (PS5, PS4).
This is one of those rare occasions where we encourage Extra users to download Stray via the Essential lineup and override their existing game license. Doing so will grant you a copy of Stray that will remain accessible with an active membership.
Who knew that there was ever going to be an advantage to Sony not fixing the old PS Plus license issue?
