Filming on the new live-action Resident Evil movie has kicked off, and once again, Raccoon City is in the crosshairs of the Umbrella Corporation and its bioweapon research. New images from the set of the Zach Cregger-directed movie have leaked online, showing off how a section of Prague has been transformed into the iconic Resident Evil location. One big change from the games looks to be seasonal, as the on-location sets have been given a wintery makeover.

One thing that you won’t spot in the images are infected people, but it does look like the streets of Prague have seen a few explosions and street battles, as Residence of Evil has reported that several action scenes have been filmed so far. Cregger–who won critical acclaim for his work on Barbarian and Weapons–has spoken about how Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 4 are some of the primary influences for this adaptation, but he is putting his own spin on it.
“I don’t think I am taking any more liberties with this [movie] than the game franchise does. I think I am coloring within the lines,” Cregger said earlier this year.
