MGM and Amazon have released the first trailer for the upcoming basketball movie Air, which stars Ben Affleck and Matt Damon in a story about the creation of the popular Air Jordan shoe.
Affleck directs and plays Nike founder Phil Knight, while Damon portrays the shoe salesman Sonny Vaccaro, who famously signed Michael Jordan to a shoe deal that would become iconic. The film also stars Viola Davis, Chris Messina, Chris Tucker, Jason Bateman, and Marlon Wayans.
Michael Jordan himself will appear in the movie by way of archival footage, but he won’t be played by an actor in any other scenes, according to IndieWire.
