A new illustrated edition of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit has been announced, and it is packed with enough new material to convince fans to buy yet another copy of the classic fantasy book.
As revealed by IGN, HarperCollins has announced a new edition of the book that comes with more than 50 sketches, drawings, paintings, and maps from Tolkien himself. It releases on September 19, and you can order a copy through Amazon. The book includes a forward by the late Christopher Tolkien, as well as further notes from Tolkien scholars Wayne G. Hammond and Christina Scull.
