Actress Scarlett Johansson has said she is “done” with Marvel, saying on fellow Marvel actress Gwyneth Paltrow’s podcast recently that she is not going to come back to play Black Widow again. She also commented on being one of the few women in The Avengers, saying that film felt like a “big sausage party.”
Johnasson made her debut as Black Widow in 2010’s Iron Man 2 and played the character numerous times over the years in other MCU films. Black Widow died in 2019’s Avengers: Endgame, but all the multiverse madness had some people believing Black Widow could appear again, in a different timeline.
“I’m done,” Johansson said on Paltrow’s Goop podcast of her future in the MCU (via Variety). “Chapter is over. I did all that I had to do. Also coming back and playing a character again and again, over a decade of time, is such a unique experience.”
