New Destiny 2 Patch Fine-Tunes Overperforming Exotic Armor Pieces

A new Destiny 2 patch has gone live, and this one is mostly focused on addressing issues related to several Exotic armor pieces that were overhauled in Season of the Deep. According to the patch notes, a lot of these tweaked Exotics have been performing a little too well, upsetting the delicate balance of the game, and Bungie has applied a few fixes here in patch 7.1.02.

For example, Point-Contact Cannon Brace would occasionally create lightning strikes on melees other than Thunderclap, Khepri’s Horn could disable various non-enemy objects in combat, and Vesper of Radius’s effects were triggering on other abilities instead of on Warlock rift activations. The good news is that a number of other pesky issues have also been fixed, like Verity’s Brow being absolutely busted for its user in PvP, Arbor Warden breaking the Juggernaut Aspect for Titans, and the Helm of Saint-14 not providing any effects at all.

In addition to Exotic armor fixes, Bungie has done a sweep of some of its weapons and has rectified some minor issues on gear like Mercurial Overreach, Deepsight weapons, and Navigator. You won’t be getting as many Last Wish Deepsight weapons anymore, as the game was accidentally handing out an extra one for a few weeks.
