Excitement is building for the highly anticipated sequel, Gladiator 2, as TMZ recently obtained exclusive photos and videos offering a first look at the film’s epic Colosseum set. Currently filming in Malta, the production showcases an impressive under-construction replica of the historic Colosseum, along with other buildings reminiscent of ancient Rome.
In addition to Malta, the film will also be shot in London and Morocco, further showcasing the landscapes that will serve as the backdrop for this sequel. However, the production has faced challenges, with an accident on set last month resulting in injuries to several crew members due to stunts gone wrong.
The cast of Gladiator 2 features Denzel Washington, Pedro Pascal, Derek Jacobi, Connie Nielsen, Paul Mescal, with Ridley Scott once again in the director’s chair.
