Destiny 2’s spooky season, Festival of the Lost, officially begins next week on October 17. Like previous years, this will be a celebration of all things Halloween, but with a Destiny 2 twist that revolves around exploring Haunted Sectors, battling the themed monsters within, and earning some gear for all your efforts.
There will be some changes this year as part of an effort to make Festival of the Lost more rewarding, starting with the overall challenge of the event being increased. Bungie explained that Legend Haunted Sectors. Like Legend Lost Sectors, these zones will be filled with more challenging monsters and you’ll need to be properly equipped to take on the ghoulish enemies inside of them.

The second big change is that players can earn Eerie Engrams from Haunted Sectors during the event, which can either be opened up for instant rewards or “hocus-focused” into a specific Exotic armor piece. Eva will offer players opportunities to acquire Exotic armor with four focusing categories in addition to the Legendary Weapons Eerie Engram focusing, but you will need to own the relevant expansion that the specific Exotic armor is tied to.
