Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 launches with much faster movement than Modern Warfare 2, including speedier sprint times, more-fluid sliding and mantling, and the introduction of the tac-stance mechanic. This new movement might feel a bit jarring for you, so we’ll use this guide to help if you want to disable it.
What is Tac-Stance?
Modern Warfare 3’s Tac-Stance is meant to offer a middle ground between hip-firing and aiming down sights. You can tilt your gun to fire as you sprint or slide, allowing you to keep mobility in a gunfight without sacrificing precision like you’d lose when spraying your gun with hip-fire. This is meant to be a faster alternative to aiming down sights.
However, this angled position might look a bit awkward or distracting to use. So, if you’re looking to turn off this Tac-Stance feature, we’ll walk you through the steps.
