We’re only one day away from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3‘s full release, and the November 9 patch notes confirm all the changes players can expect. The update includes improvements to spawns, movement changes, and major weapon balancing. Here’s everything you need to know before launch.
The spawns were pretty chaotic in Modern Warfare 3’s beta, and the developer includes several changes for the game’s launch. For Team Deathmatch, team-owned areas are now more favored by spawn selection and resistant to enemy pressure. In Domination, spawn selection is now more resistant to enemy pressure on flags, improving consistency by favoring owned flags. Additionally, the developer says spawn anchors were added to many maps “in order to influence the flow of combat in the direction of each map’s intended design.”
The patch notes include two changes to the movement mechanics. Sprint input while sliding will now cancel the slide animation, and there’s a 20% decrease to the aim down sights time penalty while jumping.
