This Week’s Free Game At Epic Is A Brilliant Retro Platformer

The Epic Games Store continues to give away a free game each week, and this week’s is another good one. Every Thursday at 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET, Epic offers at least one free PC game (and sometimes even as many as two to three). All you need to do to claim the free games is create a free Epic account and enable two-factor authentication to start snagging freebies. You have a week to add the freebies to your library before the new one(s) take their place. At this point, Epic has given away hundreds of free games, and there’s no sign that the program will stop any time soon. We keep this article up to date weekly to highlight both the current free games and next week’s offerings.

From now until January 25, Epic is giving away Love. Yes, Love is the name of the game, and it is indeed lovely. It’s an extremely good retro-style platformer, the first in a series of games that are separately collected in the Love 3 bundle. So if you like this one, we’d highly recommend picking up Love 3 to play the sequels.

Next free game at Epic

Next week’s free game is Infinifactory, a 2015 sandbox puzzle game developed by Zachtronics. You’re tasked with building factories for the aliens who rule the galaxy. Infinifactory’s campaign features more than 50 puzzles. While you’re building your factories, you’ll gradually unravel the story at the heart of this well-received sandbox game. It currently holds an “Overwhelmingly Positive” user rating average on Steam and regularly sells for $25.
