The Best PS5 Deals Ahead Of Amazon Prime Day 2024

While Amazon’s Prime Day 2024 sale is sure to have tons of great video game deals, PlayStation fans don’t need to wait around for the event to start on July 16 to save on PS5 games, hardware, or merch. Numerous online retailers are offering big PS5 deals ahead of Prime Day 2024–you can snag some great third-party pro controllers, a new SSD, or even some of the best PS5 games at big discounts right now.

Most of the deals are at Amazon, but other stores like Best Buy and Walmart have limited-time offers available, too. There’s a lot out there, so we’ve combed through all the listings to bring you this round-up of the best PS5 deals available ahead of Prime Day 2024. Note that these prices are all available an in-stock at the time of posting, but it’s likely some of these items could sell out soon, and there’s not guarantee they’ll come back once Prime Day officially starts–so grab ’em while you can.

If you’re looking for a similar list of Nintendo Switch deals, be sure to check out our roundup of the best Switch deals available ahead of Prime Day 2024, and keep an eye on GameSpot’s Prime Day hub for all the deals happening July 16 and 17.

Heads up: Official Prime Day PS5 deals will be exclusive to members. If you’re new to Amazon Prime, you can get a free 30-day trial to take advantage of the deals. Since we’re within 30 days of the event, you can safely sign up now and also grab any of the upcoming early offers. There’s already a few notable perks up for grabs: Prime members can get 15 free PC games via Prime Gaming (included with membership). Subscribers can also sign up for a free three-month trial to Audible Premium Plus to get three audiobooks of your choosing for free. The games and audiobooks will remain in your personal libraries forever, even if you cancel your subscription. For these freebies alone, it makes sense to pay the 15 bucks for one-month of Prime if you aren’t eligible for the trial.

Now, let’s get back to the best PS5 deals available now, because there are some really great PlayStation offers worth considering.

Samsung 990 Pro and more PS5 SSDs

The PS5 comes with 825GB of usable space, which is just enough space for a handful of AAA games, depending on the games you play. If you play AAA games regularly, it’s a matter of when, not if, your PS5 will tell you that you need to make room. Luckily, you can save on PS5-compatible M.2 SSDs at Amazon and Walmart. Note that third-party drives will need a heatsink in order to work in the PS5. Most of the drives listed below come with a heatsink pre-installed, but some will require you to buy and install one yourself. Walmart’s deal on the Samsung 990 Pro 1TB SSD is our favorite right now, as it’s on sale for a price we’ve rarely seen this year.

Nacon Revolution 5 Pro Controller

$175 ($200)

If you’re looking for a new PS5 gamepad, the Nacon Revolution 5 Pro is worth considering while it’s on sale at Amazon and Best Buy. This wireless controller features anti-drift Hall Effect thumbsticks, four remappable backpaddle buttons with Omron micro-switches, adjustable trigger sensitivity, and a specialized D-pad designed in partnership with progression fighting game player Mister Crimson. You can also adjust the controller’s weight and the size and shape of the thumbsticks. The Nacon Revolution 5 Pro is officially licensed by PlayStation and works on PS5, PS4, and PC. The white/black model and the all-black version shown above are available for this price at Amazon, but Best Buy is only discounting the black model.

Razer Wolverine V2 Pro Controller

$230 ($250)

The Razer Wolverine V2 Pro is another solid third-party PS5 controller choice that’s on sale at Amazon ahead of Prime Day. It offers four remappable back buttons, and extra set of shoulder bumpers, multiple trigger sensitivity levels, interchangeable thumbsticks, and an eight-direction micro-switch D-pad. It also sports RGB lighting elements that can be customized with the Razer controller app on iOS, Android, and PC.

SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7P And Nova Pro Gaming Headsets

Our favorite PS5 headset, the Arctis Nova 7P, is on sale at Amazon right now, too. It’s available in two color options at slightly different prices–you can pick up the white model for $132 or the black version for $138. Both normally cost $180, and aside from of the color difference are identical in design, specs, and quality. You can save even more by picking up a refurbished model for just $90 (normally $100).

If you have a bit more cash in the bank, you could also spring for the Arctis Nova Pro, which offers even better audio quality, customizable EQ options on console, and more. You can grab the wired version for $197 (was $250) or the wireless model for $295 (down from $350). Refurbished models are also available–the wired version is just $89 (normally $197) and the wireless model is $209 (was $287).

Both headsets support PS5, PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch.

Razer Gaming Headsets

Fans of Razer’s gaming gear can save on select models from the company’s headset lineup. The best offer is this bundle deal that includes the Razer Kaira wireless PS5 headset and a DualSense controller charging cradle for just $60 at the Amazon-owned retailer Woot. You can also grab a few other headsets from Amazon proper, including the Razer BlackShark, Kaira, Kaira Pro, and Barracuda models. Check the links below for all the deals.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 PS5 Slim Digital Bundle

If you don’t have a PS5 yet, or simply want to grab the latest hardware revision, the PS5 Slim Digital bundle with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is available for $478 at Walmart. The bundle is available from a verified third-party seller and fulfilled by Walmart. While it previously sold for $400 during a special promotional window, it’s now either sold out or over $500 at other major retailers. Though it may sting to know this, you’re still getting the console and the game for $30 less than you’d pay if you bought them separately.

PS5 Stand And Charging Station

$32 ($40)

This third-party stand pulls triple duty–not only does is keep your console secure when set up vertically, it also provides additional cooling and has two built-in charging cradles for DualSense controllers and three additional USB-A ports. You can snag it for $32 at Amazon when you click the coupon box before adding to your cart. Note this only works with the original PS5 and PS5 digital edition, not the new slim models.

PlayStation 5 Game Deals

Plenty of PS5 games are on sale ahead of Prime Day as well. You can grab physical copies of acclaimed first-party titles like God of War Ragnarok for $40, Gran Turismo 7 for $41, Rise of the Ronin for $43, and more. Normally, those games cost $70 new, so you’re saving a hefty chunk by grabbing them while they’re on sale.

Some other notable game discounts include Star Wars Jedi: Survivor for $30 (was $70), Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth for $40 (was $70), and Unicorn Overlord for $20 (was $60). You can even pick up the Persona 5 Royal One More Edition for just $50 (normally $120). The deals are spread across Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, and Woot, so check out the list below for even more PS5 game deals.

PlayStation 5 Merch

Along with all the PS5 games, hardware, and accessories, a bunch of PlayStation-related merch is also up for grabs. This includes the reprint of the official Bloodborne Complete Guide, which was a super-expensive item on the reseller market but now available once again to preorder for $60 via Amazon. To be clear, this preorder isn’t discounted–unless you compare it to reseller prices for the original release–but we wanted to shout it out because it recently went up for preorder and will likely be of interest to fans of From Software’s PlayStation exclusive action-RPG.
