Are you planning to obtain all Carcadia Burn Vault Fragments in Borderlands 4? This particular region is characterized by its scorching hot climate, endless desert dunes, and a multitude of ruined settlements. But there are also hidden areas that you need to discover.
Where to find all Carcadia Burn Vault Fragments in Borderlands 4
The Vault Key Fragments that you need can be found in the sub-zones of Lopside, Tonnage Peel, and Ruined Sumplands. The region also has a few Order Silos. These reveal the general locations of the fragments once controlled. Even better, the facilities turn into fast travel points with vending machines.
Carcadia Burn map: Vault Key Fragments
You can see the locations of the Borderlands 4 Vault Fragments in Carcadia Burn. Assuming you’re coming from Fadefields, then we’re going to check out the southernmost area–i.e. Lopside–before tackling the others. Note that we’ve also marked the location of the Vault of Radix.
Vault Fragment #1: Lopside
Found on the rooftop of a One Pumper gasoline station. It’s actually next to Lost Capsule and Dead Bolt collectibles.
Vault Fragment #2: Tonnage Peel
Go to the central part of this sub-zone, a point-of-interest known as the the Wreck of the Last Great Hope. Glide/grapple so you can enter the structure. Avoid the Creep mobs and pull the metal grate in the interior. This lets you drop down a shaft so you can grab the key.
Vault Fragment #3: Ruined Sumplands
Funnily enough, this Vault Key Fragment is next to a bunch of rocks by the side of a pond.
Vault of Radix location
If you’ve acquired all Carcadia Burn Vault Key Fragments in Borderlands 4, you should be able to gain entry to the Vault of Radix. You can head over there by following the road north of the Rusticarl Hurl Order Silo. It’s on a cliffside area opposite a Ripper camp.
Radix boss battle and rewards
After finishing all the wave/gauntlet encounters against regular enemy mobs, you’ll face a boss named Radix. You need to be ready for several devastating abilities:
- Health Attribute – Radix has a shield (blue) bar, followed by an armor (yellow) bar. You should have a Shock weapon and a Corrosive weapon to deal as much damage as possible.
- Pangolin Spawn – For some reason, Radik loves to summon Pangolins. You can eliminate one of them if your HP gets depleted and you need the self-revive/last stand.
- Rock-O-Rampage – Numerous boulders surround Radix, which means getting close would be a huge risk. He’ll sometimes toss these at your character. Alternatively, they’ll spin around at the edge of the arena.
- Burrowing Blast – Radix periodically burrows underground, before reemerging to hit you.
- Shock and Awe – When you see the ground glowing, that means it’s electrified. Hop on top of the rocks to avoid taking damage. That said, Radix will still cast/throw projectiles your way, so be ready to hop off quickly.
- Thunderstorm – Radix’s phase transitions trigger a Thunderstorm where he floats in mid-air. Watch out for the glowing sparks on the ground, as lightning will strike these spots shortly.
That does it for our guide on where to find all Carcadia Burn Vault Fragments in Borderlands 4. Completing this challenge nets you the “50% Cost Reduction” Glide Pack Upgrade as a reward.
