Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 will get a new name for the upcoming launch of Season 4, it appears. The first teaser art for Season 4 has landed, and it refers to the battle royale game simply as “Warzone” as opposed to Warzone 2.0.
This name change had been rumored for some time, and now it looks to be locked in. GameSpot has contacted Activision to try to get more details. It is unclear if the original Warzone will get a name change, too. Warzone 2.0 released at the end of 2022. If the OG Warzone doesn’t change names and 2.0 gets renamed to just Warzone, Activision Blizzard will be operating two separate games with the same name.
Additionally, the Call of Duty logo is changing, it seems. The new logo has more of a arcade game-style vibe.
