Blizzard is set to launch Diablo IV in June, but before the release, players will be given a chance to get a taste of the game with an event they’re dubbing Server Slam.
Check out the trailer:
The description for the event reads:
From May 12, 12 p.m.–May 14, 12 p.m. PDT, everyone can come to Sanctuary’s defense on Windows PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4—along with couch co-op for consoles and cross-play and cross-progression for all platforms—against the armies of the Burning Hells to help us test the durability of our servers.
Since the game can’t really offer the full experience of Diablo IV, players will only be allowed to each up until Level 20. After you get to that level though, players will still be able to keep slaying demons. Plus, the cap is there to really raise the stakes when it comes to fighting one of the game’s bosses—Ashava.
Beating Ashava at Level 20 will earn you a special item n the form of the Cry of Ashava Mount Trophy. The beta has also been altered to reflect the frequency of item drops in the actual game.

Here’s the official description for the game:
Diablo® IV is the next-gen action RPG experience with endless evil to slaughter, countless abilities to master, nightmarish Dungeons, and legendary loot. Embark on the campaign solo or with friends, meeting memorable characters through beautifully dark settings and a gripping story, or go rogue through an expansive End Game and shared world where players will meet in towns to trade, team up to battle World Bosses, or descend into PVP zones to test their skills against other players – no lobbies necessary – with cross-play and cross-progression on all available platforms.
Server Slam is set to take place from May 12-14. Diablo IV launches on PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on June 6.
