PS5 players have been surprised with a free upgrade for one of the best PS4 multiplayer games. Don’t Starve Together, the stand-alone multiplayer for the hit 2013 game Don’t Starve, can now be played in 4K resolution. All existing owners can claim the new release for free via the PS Store.
Don’t Starve Together free PS5 upgrade comes with a welcome gift for players
In addition to the free upgrade, Don’t Starve Together PS5 edition comes with a free “Welcome Gift.” In terms of features, here’s what the PS5 port offers:
- 4K resolution
- Faster load times
- 400+ DualSense haptic effects
- New world sizes: Small, Medium, Large, Huge
- Improved camera, aiming, and zoom
- New Structure alignment tools for building
- PS5 > PS4 online play (same game version required)
The revised PS4 release has some of the improvements listed above, like New Structure alignment tools and improved camera, aiming, and zoom. However, features like world sizes are PS5 exclusive.
Don’t Starve Together is currently 60% off in the ongoing PS Store sale. You can buy the game for $5.99.
