The 96th Academy Awards took place on Sunday evening, and Oppenheimer was a big winner of the night, scoring the most awards, including Best Picture.
Oppenheimer won seven total Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Director (Christopher Nolan), Best Actor in a Leading Role (Cillian Murphy), Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Robert Downey Jr.), Cinematography (Hoyte van Hoytema), Editing (Jennifer Lame), and Original Score (Ludwig Göransson).
“We made a film about the man who created the atomic bomb, and for better or for worse, we’re all living in Oppenheimer’s world,” Murphy said during his acceptance speech.
