Call of Duty’s The Haunting adds a new Halloween-themed event to Black Ops 6 and Warzone, letting you complete in-game challenges to unlock a special weapon, new attachment, and a few cosmetics. Here we’ll guide you on how to unlock the X52 Resonator special weapon, GPMG-7 Muzzle Booster attachment, and all other rewards in the Echoes of the Dead event.

The Echoes of the Dead event is live until October 23, so you have one full week to complete the challenges and unlock all eight rewards. There’s also a bonus ninth reward for BlackCell pass holders.

You unlock each reward by completing a challenge. There is a specific challenge for multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone, but you only need to pick one challenge per reward. This lets you pick challenges based on your preferred mode or the level of difficulty. All of the rewards and challenges can be found below.

X52 Resonator – Special weapon

The X52 Resonator is Season 6’s new special weapon. This weapon looks like an alien blaster gun heavily inspired by Zombies mode. Activision describes the X52 Resonator as being a full-auto weapon with an extreme rate of fire, extended range, and high recoil.

Additionally, you can customize the X52 Resonator by adding one of three unique Shard crystal attachments, with each offering a different style of attack. The Orbed Eruption Shard creates a versatile multi-shot, the Spiked Barrage Shard has a slow but lethal seven-round burst, and the Stone Escalation Shard offers a powerful charge shot.

This is unlocked by completing one of the following:

• Multiplayer: Get 150 eliminations
• Zombies: Eliminate 500 zombies in Haunted Havoc mode
• Warzone: Get 25 eliminations in Zombies Royale mode

Predator – Finishing move

Not to be confused with the Hollywood action-horror icon The Predator, who is an operator in the CoD Season 6 battle pass, this is a finishing move called Predator that lets you call a predator drone attack on your opponent and explode them as a finishing move.

This is unlocked by completing one of the following:

• Multiplayer: Finish any match with a top-three score
• Zombies: Eliminate 10 Mimics in Haunted Havoc
• Warzone: Get two eliminations without reloading

GPMG-7 Muzzle Booster – Attachment

This is a new attachment specifically for the GPMG-7 light machine gun. This GPMG-7 Muzzle Booster is designed to improve bullet velocity and increase the rate of fire over time, but it comes at the expense of added recoil.

This is unlocked by completing one of the following:

• Multiplayer: Get 50 eliminations with LMGs
• Zombies: Get 300 zombie eliminations with LMGs
• Warzone: Get 5 eliminations with LMGs

For Warzone, this is probably best attempted in Casual modes.

Cool Helm – Weapon charm

Cool Helm is a helmet-shaped weapon charm for your guns.

This is unlocked by completing one of the following:

• Multiplayer: Earn 20,000 total score
• Zombies: Earn 50,000 total Essence in Haunted Havoc
• Warzone: Open 25 loot caches in Zombie Royale

Double XP token

This reward is a one-hour double XP token.

The token is unlocked by completing one of the following:

• Multiplayer: Get 10 kills with lethal equipment
• Zombies: Kill 10 or more zombies with a single scorestreak three times
• Warzone: Get a kill with lethal equipment

For Warzone, this will be easiest to complete in Casual modes.

Blast Burn – Calling card

Blast Burn is an animated calling card that turns soldiers into skeleton variants.

This is unlocked by completing one of the following:

• Multiplayer: Earn five Double Kill medals (Two rapid kills) or better
• Zombies: Earn five Massacre medals (10 rapid kills)
• Warzone: Get three or more eliminations in a match two times

Weaponry – Large decal

Weaponry is a large decal of a skeleton soldier surrounded by weapons.

This is unlocked by completing one of the following:

• Multiplayer: Get 10 kills using melee weapons
• Zombies: Get 30 zombie kills with melee weapons
• Warzone: Complete a Bounty contract

Toxic Metal – Camo

Toxic Metal is a universal camo for your weapons. It’s also animated to show bullet holes appear. This is a mastery reward that is unlocked once you complete all seven of the reward challenges listed above. They can be completed in any order.

Toxic Metal – BlackCell variant

This is a more colorful BlackCell variant of the Toxic Metal mastery camo. It’s also animated with bullet holes.
