The set also comes with 12 minifigures, including Harry, Ron, Hermione, Katie Bell, Draco Malfoy, Professor McGonagall, Cornelius Fudge, and more. You’ll need plenty of space to fit the completed project in your home, as it clocks in at 13 inches tall and 30 inches wide.
Gringotts Wizarding Bank: Collector’s Edition (4,801 pieces)
$430
Take a journey deep into the vaults of Gringotts with this 4,801-piece Lego set. You’ll build all aspects of the bank–from its foyer and mezzanine to cart tracks and underground vaults. The cart tracks are also functional, featuring a mechanism that allows you to stop its progress at three different locations.
There’s also a buildable Ukrainian Ironbelly Dragon and 13 minifigures–inclduing two different versions of Harry Potter, Ron, Bellatrix Lestrange, Hermione Granger, Hagrid, and more. The completed set is a staggering 31 inches in height, so consider displaying it on a table or countertop instead of a shelf.
The Burrow: Collector’s Edition (2,405 pieces)
$260
This 18-inch-tall Lego set recreates the Weasley clan’s weird (even by Harry Potter standards) abode known as The Burrow. The completed set is designed to unfold, allowing you to show off just the exterior or access to its many interior rooms, which feature many interactive elements–including a chance to ride the Floo Network or watch as dishes magically scrub themselves clean. Along with heaps of details, you’ll find 10 minifigures for the entire Weasley clan, plus Harry Potter and an Errol.
Hogwarts Icons: Collector’s Edition (3,010 pieces)
$300
This unique Lego set features a large Hedwig model for you to build–complete with an invitation letter to Hogwarts. It also lets you build a variety of trinkets from the Harry Potter universe, including Harry’s glasses and wand, a tray of potion bottles, and even the Golden Snitch. The set features three exclusive, golden minifigures for Dumbledore, Professor McGonagall, and Hagrid.
Hogwarts Castle: Collector’s Edition (6,020 pieces)
$470
If you’re seeking a Lego project that’ll keep you busy for a long while, take a peek at Hogwarts Castle. With 6,020 bricks, the gigantic build is over 22 inches tall and 27 inches wide. Along with heaps of exterior features–including an interactive Whomping Willow–there are tons interior sections like a Chessboard Chamber, potions classroom, and Great Hall. The castle grounds also feature ive buildable boats and Hagrid’s hut. You also get four minifigures–Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff, Salazar Slytherin, and Rowena Ravenclaw–and 27 microfigures, too, allowing you to play out various scenes from the books and films.
Diagon Alley: Collector’s Edition (5,544 pieces)
$450
This large 5,544-piece Diagon Alley set features assortment of recognizable shops like Quality Quidditch Supplies, Ollivanders Wand Shop, and Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes.
Much like the Hogwarts Castle set, this one features detailed interiors. Inside each shop is a litany of accessories, artifacts, and various magical supplies. The kit also includes 14 minifigures, four of which are exclusive to this set: Gilderoy Lockhart, Florean Fortescue, Lucius Malfoy, and the Daily Prophet photographer.
If this Collector’s Edition seems too pricey, there’s also a smaller 2,750-piece Diagon Alley set available fore $195. It’s not quite as premium or as detailed, but no doubt it’s still a cool diorama of the iconic Harry Potter location.
Hogwarts Express (1,074 pieces)
$111
The old Hogwarts Station: Collector’s Edition has been retired, though third-party retailers still sell it on Amazon. Its price has been heavily marked up, however, so we’d recommend checking out the Hogwarts Express & Hogsmeade Station Set instead. At over 1,000 pieces, it lets you build several passenger carriages, plus a mall replica of Hogsmeade Station–complete with ticketing office and restroom.
This set includes eight minifigures (Harry, Ron, Hermione, Draco, Lee Jordan, Rubeus Hagrid, Trolley Witch, and train conductor), along with other accessories like a family photo album element and a trolley cart with snacks. As for the train, it can be maneuvered either on or off the track, giving you plenty of ways to display the completed set.
Hogwarts Castle and Grounds (2,660 pieces)
$136
Don’t confuse this with the massive Hogwarts Castle listed above–this one is much smaller, but still clocks in at over 2,500 pieces. The finished model is still pretty large at over 8.5 inches tall and 13.5 inches wide, and it comes with a tiny golden Hogwarts statue minifigure.
There’s still plenty of detail in this set, too. You’ll find small versions of the Main Tower, Boathouse, Great Hall, and Astronomy Tower, plus details in areas like the Potions Classroom and Chessboard Chamber. Give it a look if you’re seeking a smaller (and more affordable) version of the iconic castle.
Talking Sorting Hat (561 pieces)
$80 (was $100)
This might be the most intriguing Lego set of the bunch. Not only do you get to build a model of the Sorting Hat, but the battery-powered figure also spits out 31 different sounds. Sound effects can be activated by tipping the top of the hat or placing it on your head–making it a cool, interactive toy.
When you’re not listening to the hat, it can be easily displayed on an included stand. It shouldn’t take too long to build, as it’s much smaller than most other sets at just 561 pieces. Consider giving it a look if you want a fun talking piece for your next party.
Lego Harry Potter Book Nook (832 pieces)
$100
Keep your Harry Potter novels company with this fun Book Nook set. These are essentially buildable bookends, though they do come with minifigures for Harry and Ron. They can also be displayed in two different ways–pushed together to create a tiny scene of the Hogwarts Express and King’s Crossing, or separated as two individual bookends.
