Lies of P director Ji Won Choi has confirmed that a sequel is in development and has also provided a quick tease of the upcoming DLC for the Souls-like game. “Our highest priority is developing the DLC and working on our sequel,” Choi said in a video update for the game, which has so far passed one million sales and is also available through Xbox Game Pass. “The dev team is putting in significant effort, brainstorming and exploring different aspects of the project.”
For the DLC, Choi teased it with images of P exploring a seemingly derelict ship. “I can promise you one thing,” Choi said. “What I just showed you scratches merely the tip of an iceberg.”
Beyond the plans for Lies of P, the first game will receive a new patch later this month that will further tweak the Weapon Assemble system. Neowiz will also make the game more approachable in its opening stages with boosted base stats, extra Quartz materials to upgrade the P-Organ from Polendai’s shop, and the Rising Dodge move will become a default ability available from the start. A cosmetic tweak will allow glasses and hats to be worn separately and Choi said that the game’s soundtrack will be released at a later date.
