The next Metro game sounds like it’s deep in development, so much so that the game is reportedly fully playable at this point. That means an official reveal could arrive at some point this year for the FPS.
This all comes from a new report by Insider Gaming, which suggests a 2024 release date is possible for the Metro Exodus sequel. Supposedly, a dream sequence kicks off the start of the new game. Then, you wake up at your base of operations before engaging in the franchise’s key elements of stealth, survival, crafting, and firefights.
Metro series author Dmitry Glukhovsky confirmed he was working on a Metro Exodus sequel back in 2019, shortly after that game launched. It has been no secret that another game was on the way, though when we’d get it was anyone’s guess. (Glukhovsky is also on a wanted list by Russia for criticizing that country’s invasion of Ukraine.)
