New Exorcist Movie Changes Dates To Get Out Of Taylor Swift’s Way

Blumhouse’s upcoming horror movie The Exorcist: Believer has changed its release date due to Taylor Swift. Studio head Jason Blum said on social media that Believer is moving up a week, from October 13 to October 6, because Swift just announced that her Eras Tour concert movie is coming out on October 13. It’s projected to be a huge draw in theaters, so much so that Blumhouse wants to move its new film out of the way.

“Look what you made me do,” Blum said about the release date change, referencing the Swift song. He ended his message with the hashtag #TaylorWins.

This might not have always been the plan. After Swift announced her Eras Tour concert movie on August 31, Blum posted on X/Twitter #Exorswift,” referencing how both films could landed on the same day. It seems that thinking has changed, with Believer now moving up a week to stay clear of Swift.
