A lot of PC gamers were excited to finally get The Last of Us on their platform, but they were all disappointed when the port launched with a buggy mess of a game.
Developers have been hard at work with patches to fix the game, and Naughty Dog has announced the launch of Patch 1.0.5. Here’s the announcement:
The patch notes are actually pretty extensive, so you have an idea of just how broken the game was when it launched. While Naughty Dog does have a reputation when it comes to their releases on the PlayStation, the launch of The Last of Us Part I on PC was definitely a big blow to the studio’s rep—even if they did say that they outsourced the PC port to another studio.
For now, interest for The Last of Us is at a high, what with the success of HBO’s The Last of Us adaptation. Rumors have been going around that ND is already working on a third game in the series, but as of now, nothing official has been announced. No doubt, Neil Druckmann would have been too busy working on the HBO show to put all his focus on the third game—if it even has been greenlit.
I guess we’ll just have to wait and see till the announcement; which is hopefully during the next PlayStation Showcase.
