New PS5 Accessory Leaked and It’s Reportedly Xbox Compatible

PS5 accessory

Rumor has it that Sony will unveil a brand-new PS5 accessory soon, and it’ll be an expensive one. A known, reliable leaker has claimed that the company will soon announce and launch a successor to 2022’s Inzone H9 headset.

PlayStation won’t be at Gamescom 2025, but new PS5 accessory will make an appearance

The leaker in question is none other than Dealabs user billbil-kun, who has an impeccable track record. Interestingly, they claim that the announcement will coincide with Gamescom 2025 Opening Night Live.

PlayStation won’t officially be present at Gamescom, so either the Inzone H9 upgrade will be part of the Opening Night Live highlight reel or Sony simply plans to set a trailer/blog live to coincide with the event. Whatever the case, we’ll find out in due course.

As for what the new Inzone H9 will entail, leaked specs claim that it’ll have the same speakers as WH-1000XM6, with a reduced weight of 260g (down from 330g). However, that comes with the caveat of a “slightly reduced” battery life of up to 30 hours.

The headset will reportedly feature a detachable noise-canceling microphone, support for new Bluetooth LE Audio, and a 3.5mm jack for wired connection that makes it compatible with other devices like Xbox. We don’t want to share the image of the full spec sheet here to avoid a copyright strike, but you can view it over on Dealabs.

Last but not least, the headset is expected to cost $349.99/€349.99, with a reported launch window of early September 2025.

Opening Night Live will take place on Tuesday, August 19, at 11 a.m. PT / 2 p.m. ET.
