Since Stellar Blade was released for the PS5 last year, it has received several pieces of DLC, ranging from small cosmetic packs to collaborative content that adds a new boss. Developer Shift Up recently teased its next DLC, and it seems PS5 players will be able to play it sooner than they think.
What is the upcoming Stellar Blade DLC?
Revealed on the official Stellar Blade X (formerly Twitter) account, an in-game screenshot of a new environment is shown, and it looks pretty creepy in comparison to what fans of the game may be used to. The caption “In one week” is attached to the photo, which implies that this new content could be released as early as next week. It’s also possible that it just gets revealed in a week.
Details on the upcoming Stellar Blade DLC are sparse. However, fans have begun speculating that this might be a crossover with one of two popular horror video game franchises: Resident Evil and Silent Hill. With Silent Hill f releasing later this week, it does make sense that Shift Up and Konami would team up for a collaboration DLC.
However, fans have also brought up Resident Evil as the developer’s other game, Goddess of Victory: Nikke, is launching a collaboration with the Capcom horror series that brings Jill Valentine, Ada Wong, and Claire Redfield to the game on September 24.
It would not be surprising if the next Stellar Blade DLC is a collaboration, as both its more sizeable add-ons are collaborations. The first was a crossover with the aforementioned Goddess of Victory: Nikke. The second featured the award-winning Nier: Automata, which added themed cosmetics, as well as Emil’s Shop from the action RPG.
Stellar Blade is available right now on the PS Store for $69.99. It is PS5 Pro enhanced, so players who own the enhanced console get some added technical features.
