Although it has just been a few days since the last Nintendo Direct, Nintendo revealed it will have another showcase. Considering the games it will be focusing on, odds are good some PS5 games will be featured. One of these could be one of the most anticipated games of the past few years.

When is the next Nintendo Direct?

The next Nintendo Direct is an Indie World Showcase, which focuses on new announcements and updates on upcoming Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 indie games. It will premiere on Thursday, August 7 at 6 a.m. PT/ 9 a.m. ET. It will run for 15 minutes.

Exactly what will be revealed is unknown, but there is one indie game players have been itching for for years. Of course, that game is Hollow Knight: Silksong. It’s essentially a joke at this point to predict the follow-up to the beloved metroidvania will show up at Thursday’s Indie World Showcase. However, with it being playable at Gamescom, and supposedly being released alongside the ROG Xbox Ally, which is currently slated to launch this year, it seems more likely than ever. That is just speculation, so we will just have to wait and see if that actually comes to fruition.

Less than a week ago, Nintendo ran its Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase, which featured games from its third-party partners. Most notably, a handful of Square Enix games were shown, many of which are coming to the PS5. This includes Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles, The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales, and Octopath Traveler 0.
