As the Switch gets closer to starting its seventh year, Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa has dismissed rumors that the console’s successor has been shown off behind closed doors. According to Japanese publication Mainichi (via VGC), Furukawa has denied these rumors and has labeled them as “inaccurate” and “untrue” during a private earnings call on Tuesday.
Additionally, it’s claimed that the president also referenced a recent patent application for a Nintendo device with multiple screens and implied that there are no such plans for such a console.
Earlier this year, reports of tech demos being shown to select game developers at Gamescom began circulating, with one of these demos reportedly being a more-powerful-Switch version of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
