Following a leak, the next batch of PlayStation Plus free games has been officially confirmed by PlayStation. February’s PS Plus Essential lineup includes OlliOlli World, Evil Dead: The Game, Mafia: Definitive Edition, and Destiny 2: Beyond Light. The new freebies will be available to claim starting February 7.
Alongside the reveal, PlayStation announced that the PS Plus Collection will be removed as a subscriber perk on May 9. The PlayStation Plus Collection has given PS5 users access to a library of PS4 hits such as God of War and Bloodborne since the console launched. However, as long as you claim the games on your PS5 before May 9, members will still be able to play the games in the PS Plus Collection.
February’s lineup is rather unique due to the number of games. Over the past couple of years, the standard has been three games each month. February will make the switch back to four freebies, but we wouldn’t expect this to become the norm.
