PlayStation makes the first move
The summer gaming reveal season is upon us, with PlayStation swooping in at the last second with a new State of Play livestream. The event featured over 40 minutes of reveals, updates, and world premieres from both first- and third-party developers, and it marked the first State of Play event since February 12.

Lumines Arise
A new entry in the Lumines puzzle series, Lumines Arise, is coming from Enhance and Monstars. The debut trailer showed gameplay resembling Enhance’s previous project, Tetris Effect, with psychedelic backgrounds and flashes of light. Lumines Arise is scheduled for a Fall 2025 release.
Pragmata
“What comes after dreaming?” The trailer for Pragmata began with a simple question, and turned into our first look at gameplay for Capcom’s mysterious third-person action game. This is the first trailer for Pragmata since its debut trailer at the PlayStation Showcase in June 2020.
Pragmata is set to launch in 2026.
Romeo Is A Dead Man
Romeo Is A Dead Man is a third-person action game in the “ultra-violent science fiction” genre (according to the trailer, at least) from Grasshopper Manufacture. The debut video showed off bloody, over-the-top gameplay and a 2026 release window.
Silent Hill F
Silent Hill’s first foray into Japanese horror was next on the State of Play schedule, with a young girl named Hinako forced to defend herself from horrific humanoid monsters and marionette-like mannequins. The game launches September 25.
Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement
Next up, a new entry in Koji Igarashi’s Bloodstained franchise, The Scarlet Engagement, was revealed for the first time. The debut trailer showed metroidvania-style gameplay, multiple characters and costumes, and more. The Scarlet Engagement will launch in 2026.
Digimon Story: Time Stranger
Next came a new trailer for the upcoming RPG Digimon Story: Time Stranger. Gameplay shown included a boss battle against Parrotmon, multiple cutscenes, and a strange and colorful block-filled area. Digimon Story: Time Stranger launches on October 3rd.
Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles
A remastered version of Square Enix’s classic Final Fantasy Tactics, The Ivalice Chronicles, was confirmed after months of rumors. Both an enhanced version and the classic 1997 PlayStation 1 version will be available in one package on September 30.
