Pokemon Legends: Arceus Ultimate Carnivine Guide

Pokemon Legends: Arceus tasks the player to realize one of the franchise’s most recognizable quotes, “Gotta catch ’em all,” as a member of the Survey Corps whose job is to study all they can about Pokemon in the Hisui region, modern-day Sinnoh. The legendary Arceus will also assign the player a quest to find every Pokemon in Hisui.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus Ultimate Carnivine Guide

This guide will discuss everything you need to know about Carnivine!

Carnivine

Carnivine, the 92nd Pokemon in the Hisuian Pokedex, is a Grass-type Bug Catcher Pokemon that has a green body that resembles a Venus flytrap, a large round head, a pair of circular eyes with small black pupils, a large mouth with long, sharp teeth, dark green spots on top of its head, a yellow stem with green spots, a pair of arms that resemble leaves with three fingers on each arm, and red and green vines under the stem that look like tentacles.

According to the game’s Pokedex entry, Carnivine has a greedy and unruly personality. Carnivine also attacks their prey with their wide cavernous maw.

Basic Information

Carnivine is a Grass-type Pokemon, so it is weak (super effective) to the Bug-type, Fire-type, Flying-type, Ice-type, and Poison-type moves and resistant (not very effective) to Electric-type, Grass-type, Ground-type, and Water-type moves.

Carnivine’s base stats are 74 HP, 100 Attack, 72 Defense, 90 Special Attack, 72 Special Defense, and 46 Speed, for a total of 454.

Carnivine does not have an evolutionary line.

Carnivine’s preferred foods are Springy Mushrooms and Crunchy Salts. These foods, like berries, can be thrown at Carnivine to feed or divert it so it can be caught or battled without being seen.

When a Carnivine gets caught or defeated in the wild, the player can obtain both a Ball of Mud and a Caster Fern.

Location

The player can go to these areas to find a Carnivine:

In the Crimson Mirelands: slightly north of Gapejaw Bog, in the Golden Lowlands, in the Holm of Trials, and Cloudpool Ridge.

In the Coronet Highlands: around the Lonely Spring.

It is essential to mention that the player can find an Alpha Carnivine north of Cottensedge Prairie in the Cobalt Coastlands. The Alpha Pokemon that can be found here is a Level 40 Pokemon.

One of the Carnivine around Lonely Spring in the Coronet Highlands is also an Alpha Pokemon. The Alpha Carnivine that can be found here is a Level 52 Pokemon.

Carnivine can be found in areas mentioned at all times of the day and in every weather condition.

In addition to these locations, the player may encounter a group of Carnivines in Massive Mass Outbreaks in the Crimson Mirelands or one in Space-Time Distortions.

Research Tasks

The following are the Research Tasks in Carnivine’s Pokedex entry:

Multiplier Research Task Objectives
x2 Number caught 1/3/6/12/25
Number of alpha specimens you have caught 1
Number of large specimens you have caught 1/2/5/7/10
Number defeated 1/3/6/12/25
x2 Number you have defeated with Flying type moves 1/2/6/12/25
Times you have seen it use Acid Spray 1/3/6/12/25
Times you have seen it use a strong style move 1/2/4/10/15
x2 Times you have stunned it by using items 1/2/3/4/5

To be considered done, a Pokemon’s Pokedex entry must reach Research Level 10. Except for when the Research Task objective has an x2 multiplier which will give two Research Levels for completing one, completing a Research Task objective increases a Pokemon’s Pokedex entry’s Research Level by one.

For completing Pokedex entries and accomplishing Research Task objectives, the player will earn Research Points. If a player earns enough Research Points, the player’s Star Rank in the Galaxy Team will be boosted.

To quickly complete Carnivine’s Pokedex entry, the player can catch three Carnivines, then defeat three more with at least two of them defeated using Flying-type moves. Doing all these will tick the first and second objectives of the “Number caught” Research Task to get four Research Levels because of its x2 multiplier; tick the first and second objective of the “Number defeated” Research Task, which will raise two Research Levels, and tick the first and second objective of the “Number you have defeated with Flying type moves” Research Task to, thanks to its x2 multiplier, get the four Research Levels needed to ultimately get to Research Level 10.

The player can level up Carnivine or go to the Training Grounds to teach new battle moves.
