Pokemon Legends: Arceus Ultimate Mr. Mime Guide

As a significant member of the Survey Corps in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, the player will become part of the Galaxy Expedition Team, commonly called the Galaxy Team, to discover more about the Pokemon that live in the Hisui region.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus Ultimate Mr. Mime Guide

The game’s goal is for the player to catch every Pokemon species in the area to complete the Hisui Pokedex. Furthermore, the all-powerful Arceus directs the player to locate and encounter each Pokemon in the area.

This guide will discuss everything you need to know about Mr. Mime!

Mr. Mime

Mr. Mime, the 77th Pokemon in the Hisuian Pokedex, is a Psychic and Fairy-type Barrier Pokemon that resembles a human clown with a pink head, blue growths on the top sides of its head that resemble extended clown hair, magenta-colored circle markings on its cheeks, a curved jaw, a round and white body with a circle marking in the middle, top right, top left, bottom right, and bottom left that are all colored magenta, a pair of arms and legs that are also colored pink, white knees.

These blue feet look like shoes with curled tips and a pair of white hands with white gloves and magenta circles on the ends of each finger. According to its Pokedex entry in the game, Mr. Mime’s behavior is reminiscent of pantomimes. Furthermore, Mr. Mime creates invisible walls with force emitted from his fingertips.

Basic Information

Mr. Mime is a Psychic and Fairy-type Pokemon that is weak (super effective) to Ghost-type, Poison-type, and Steel-type moves, resistant (not very effective) to Psychic-type and especially Fighting-type moves, and immune (no effect) to Dragon-type moves.

Mr. Mime’s base stats are 40 HP, 45 Attack, 65 Defense, 100 Special Attack, 120 Special Defense, and 90 Speed for a total of 460.

Mr. Mime can be evolved from a Mime Jr. once he has learned the move Mimic.

Mr. Mime’s favorite foods are Springy Mushrooms, Dazzling Honey, Hearty Grains, and Plump Beans. These foods, in addition to berries, can be utilized as both food and a diversion before catching or battling Mr. Mime while he is unaware.

When a Mr. Mime is defeated or captured in the wild, the player receives two items dropped by Mr. Mime: a Spoiled Apricorn and a Chesto Berry.

Location

The player can find Mr. Mime in the location mentioned above at all times of the day and in every weather condition. The player can only find a Mr. Mime in the following location:

In the Obsidian Fieldlands: slightly south of Sandgem Flats.

Also, the player may find a Mr. Mime in Massive Mass Outbreaks in the Obsidian Fieldlands and the Coronet Highlands.

Research Tasks

The following are the Research Tasks in Mr. Mime’s Pokedex entry:

Multiplier Research Task Objectives
x2 Number caught 1/2/4/10/15
Number you have caught without being spotted 1/2/4/6/10
Number defeated 1/2/4/10/15
x2 Times you have seen it use Mimic 1/3/6/12/25
Times you have given it food 1/2/3/4/5
Times you have scared it off with a Scatter Bang 1/2/3/4/5
Times you have seen it use an agile style move 1/3/6/12/25
x2 Investigated the suspicious movements of Mr. Mime 1

Every time one of a Research Task’s objectives is accomplished, a Pokedex entry’s Research Level rises by one level. Upon completing a Research Task objective with an x2 multiplier, the Pokedex entry acquires two Research Levels rather than just one.

When a Pokemon reaches Research Level 10, its Pokedex entry is considered complete. Completing Pokedex entries and Research Task objectives also earns the player Research Points. The player’s Star Rank in the Galaxy Team will increase if they earn enough Research Points.

To quickly complete Mr. Mime’s Pokedex entry, the player can find one and feed it food or berries five times, then catch two, with at least one caught without being spotted. Doing all these will tick the first, second, third, fourth, and fifth objective of the “Times you’ve given it food” Research Task to reach Research Level 5, tick the first and second objective of the “Number caught” Research Task to gain four Research Levels thanks to its x2 multiplier, and tick the first objective of the “Number you’ve caught without being spotted” Research Task to get the final Research Level needed to attain Research Level 10 ultimately.

Relevant Request

Mr. Mime is involved in Request 21, called the “Back-Alley Mr. Mime” Request. Completing this request will also tick the objective of the “Investigated the suspicious movements of Mr. Mime” Research Task in Mr. Mime’s Pokedex entry.

To unlock this request, the player must first complete “The Frenzy of the Lord of the Woods” Mission, the seventh mission in the game where the player is tasked to quell the frenzy of the Noble Kleavor in the Obsidian Fieldlands. Additionally, the player must add Mr. Mime to the Pokedex by encountering and catching one.

To start this request, enter the Galaxy Hall in the northernmost part of Jubilife Village, head to Professor Laventon’s room on the left of Captain Cyllene’s office, interact with the blackboard behind Professor Laventon where various requests can be accepted, and select the “Back-Alley Mr. Mime” Request on the prompt to start the request.

After that, exit the Galaxy Hall, cross the bridge just across the entrance to the Galaxy Hall, then head to the path on the right where the player will find a man wearing brown clothing named Andra. Talk to Andra, and he will ask the player to investigate Mr. Mime, who has taken up residence in Jubilife Village, as having a wild Pokemon in the village is scary, and how it moves is also eerie. Also, the Security Corps did not want to handle it, so Andra is hoping that a member of the Survey Corps, like the player, could help him out.

Next, the player must approach Mr. Mime in between the houses, but this is easier said than done as this Mr. Mime has put up invisible barriers, and there is a specific path that the player must take to reach Mr. Mime.

To reach this Mr. Mime, head to the path on the right, take the path on the left, which is in front of the houses, head to the left after the last house, then take the path on the left between the houses to reach Mr. Mime.

Press the A button to interact with Mr. Mime, and it will run away. Andra will then say that Mr. Mime will not run away unless he has something to hide, so they now really have to find out what Mr. Mime is up to.

After that, head to the right side of the building of the Galaxy Hall to find Andra, talk to him, and he will show the player Mr. Mime just ahead. Just like in the last one, Mr. Mime has invisible barriers in the area, which means there is a specific path to reach it.

To reach Mr. Mime, head to the left side of the building of the Galaxy Hall by passing through the front of the building, head to the back of the building, and follow the invisible path very close to the walls of the building. Upon reaching the end of the invisible path, continue by heading to the left, heading back, at the end of the invisible path, head to the right, then take another right.

At the end of this invisible path, head to the left, turn another right, head straight, turn to the right, head slightly straight, then head to the left to reach Mr. Mime. Press the A button to interact with Mr. Mime, and it will run away again.

Andra will then point out that the player took the long way to get close to Mr. Mime, so he will ask if the player is secretly scared of it. Select any options on the prompt, and Andra will think that the player is joking unless Mr. Mime really has a mysterious power.

Next, head to the Front Gate of Jubilife Village, which is in the northeastern part of the village; talk to Andra near the river, and he will show the player Mr. Mime just ahead. Just like the previous times, Mr. Mime still has invisible walls.

To reach Mr. Mime, head to the pillar of the gate (pillar with a couple of ladders) near Mr. Mime, head to the right, then turn left and approach Mr. Mime. Press the A button to interact with Mr. Mime, and Andra will finally prevent it from running away and will be able to try the invisible barriers himself.

Ress of the Security Corps will then approach Mr. Mime and ask what is wrong, as it seems like something got Mr. Mime in a panic. Andra will then ask if Ress knows this Mr. Mime, to which Ress will respond that it helps him guard the gate sometimes by standing out front and doing the eerie dance, which prevents the wild Pokemon from getting in because of its invisible barriers.

Ress will continue that Mr. Mime is docile and helps him with his job, so he just lets it do what it wants. So, after that, Andra will apologize to the player for all the trouble but will say that at least it gave him peace of mind.

Finally, the “Back-Alley Mr. Mime” Request is completed, and the player will be rewarded with two Aux Guards for their efforts.

Thanks to all of this information, Mr. Mime is now easier to find, capture, and use in battle. Mr. Mime can also be a valuable member of the player’s party, assisting with missions, requests, and even the all-powerful Arceus’ assignment to catch ’em all!
