Pokemon Legends: Arceus Ultimate Pichu Guide

The player in Pokemon Legends: Arceus will become a part of the Galaxy Expedition Team, usually recognized as the Galaxy Team, as a crucial member of the Survey Corps to discover more about the Pokemon found in the Hisui region, rather than battling in Pokemon Gyms and ultimately achieving a Champion rank in a particular region as in the mainline Pokemon games. Finishing the Pokedex by catching and learning about each species of Pokemon in the area is one of the game’s top priorities for the player.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus Ultimate Pichu Guide

This guide will discuss everything you need to know about Pichu!

Pichu

Pichu, the 55th Pokemon in the Hisuian Pokedex, is an Electric type Tiny Mouse Pokemon with a body that has pale yellow fur and black accents, a pair of black eyes with white pupils, a very tiny nose, a small mouth, a pair of pink, circular pouches on its cheeks where it stores small amounts of electricity, a pair of large, pointy ears with black markings on its outer edges, a black, angular collar, a pair of stubby arms with little fingers on each hand, a pair of feet with three toes on each foot, and a black, angular tail. Pichu’s handling of electricity is quite poor due to its immaturity.

According to its Pokedex entry in the game, Pichu stores electricity in the sacs on its cheeks, but it can accidentally discharge it when it gets agitated or excited.

Basic Information

Pichu is an Electric-type Pokemon which means it has a weakness to Ground-type moves (super effective) and a resistance to Electric-type, Flying-type, and Steel-type moves (not very effective).

Pichu’s base stats are 20 HP, 40 Attack, 15 Defense, 35 Special Attack, 35 Special Defense, and 60 Speed, for a total of 205.

Pichu can be evolved to a Pikachu when it reaches a high Friendship Level, and Pikachu can be evolved to a Raichu by using a Thunder Stone.

To raise a Pokemon’s Friendship Level, the player should keep the Pokemon in his or her party, use the Pokemon in battle, not allow the Pokemon to faint, and use the Pokemon to gather materials from trees and ores.

To check your Pokemon’s Friendship Level, go to the Friendship Checker Belamy, located a little south of the Pastures in the eastern part of Jubilife Village (Belamy is the man dressed in blue). It should be noted, however, that the Friendship Checker is not accessible straight away in the game.

To access the Friendship Checker, complete the “Measuring Your Compatibility” Request (request 28). After that, the player can speak with Belamy and choose the Pokemon to check the Friendship Level. Based on Belamy’s description, the actual Friendship Level is as follows:

Friendship Level Belamy’s Description
Base Friendship “[Your Pokemon] seems leery of you yet. New to the team, perhaps?”
Low “I suppose [your Pokemon]’s become a bit friendly toward you, but you’ve a ways to go…”
Mid “[Your Pokemon] seems to get on well with you. But I’m sure it could get on better!”
High “You and [your Pokemon] seem to be fast friends. You must be quite good companions!”
Highest “What an excellent pair of friends you and [your Pokemon] make. You must mean a lot to each other!”

The player’s Pichu must be on a high or Highest Friendship Level to evolve to Pikachu.

Springy Mushrooms, Dazzling Honey, Hearty Grains, and Plump Beans are Pichu’s preferred foods and can be great to lure it before catching, battling, or simply feeding it food.

Whenever a Pichu is defeated or caught in the wild, it will drop a Spoiled Apricorn, and an Oran Berry then be given to the player.

Location

Pichu can be found in the locations mentioned at all times of the day and in every weather condition. The player will be able to find a Pichu in the following areas:

In the Obsidian Fieldlands: in Nature’s Pantry and the Floaro Gardens.

In the Crimson Mirelands: up the cliff north of the Golden Lowlands.

Also, Pichu may be found in Massive Mass Outbreaks in the Obsidian Fieldlands.

Research Tasks

The following are the Research Tasks in Pichu’s Pokedex entry:

Multiplier Research Task Objectives
x2 Number caught 1/2/4/10/15
Number of small specimens caught 1/2/3
x2 Number you have caught without being spotted 1/2/4/6/10
Number you have caught while they were sleeping 1
Number caught during daylight hours 1/2/4/6/10
Times you have given it food 1/3/5/7/10
x2 Number you have evolved 1/2/3

When a Pokemon reaches Research Level 10, its entry into the Pokedex is considered complete. If one of the objectives of a Research Task is achieved, the Research Level of a Pokedex entry is raised by one level. If a Research Task objective with a multiplier of x2 is achieved, it receives two Research Levels instead of only one.

To quickly complete Pichu’s Pokedex entry, the player can catch two Pichus without being spotted and do these during the daylight hours (morning, midday, and evening). Doing these will tick the first and second objective of the “Number caught” Research Task, which will add four Research Leves thanks to its x2 multiplier, tick the first and second objective of the “Number you have caught without being spotted” Research Task to gain four more Research Levels also because of its x2 multiplier, and tick the first and second objective of the “Number caught during daylight hours” Research Task to gain the last two Research Levels needed to reach Research Level 10 ultimately.
