PS Plus Premium Classics Complaints Seemingly Heard by Sony

PS Plus Premium Classics

PS Plus Premium is often criticized for a lackluster classics lineup, and it looks like Sony has heard player complaints. After rolling out only one classic game in September 2025, the company highlighted several upcoming PS1/PS2 games at the PlayStation State of Play yesterday.

Sony reveals three beloved upcoming classics for PS Plus Premium, scheduled for 2025

The good news is, three fan-favorite classics are headed to PS Plus Premium. The (somewhat) bad news is that we don’t know when other than “later in 2025.” We were hoping to see them in October, but it looks like Sony plans to spread the launch out over the remaining three months.

As for what we’re getting, players can expect PS1’s Tekken 3, PS2’s Soulcalibur III, and the recently leaked PS2 game, Tomb Raider Anniversary.

Tomb Raider Anniversary also launched on the PSP, but it’s the PS2 version that’s being ported over.

It remains to be seen which one of these classics will come with trophies, however. Unfortunately, two of the three games are published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, which (alongside Capcom) seems allergic to adding trophies to its classics. None of its PS5, PS4 ports thus far have supported the feature.

We expect Tomb Raider Anniversary to come with trophies.

As a reminder, all classics are available to purchase on the PS5 and PS4 via the PS Store.
