PS1, PS2 Shooter Series Returns to PS5 After 2 Decades

ps1 ps2 classic

It feels like a dormant video game series returns every month, with new entries releasing from franchises that have been gone for decades. That includes this PS1 and PS2 shooter series that hasn’t been on a PlayStation console for two decades.

There is a new Delta Force game coming to PS5 in August

In a recent stream from developer Team Jade, it was revealed that the PS5 version of the recently released Delta Force revival will launch on August 19 and will be free to play. Additionally, its Black Hawk Down DLC campaign, based on the Ridley Scott film of the same name, will be available to download for free.

“Delta Force is back,” reads the game’s description. “The iconic series returns as the definitive free-to-play modern team-based tactical shooter and featuring three distinct gameplay modes: large-scale PvP warfare, intense extraction shooter action, and a remake of the legendary Black Hawk Down campaign.”

A version of Delta Force can be preordered on the PS Store currently for $9.99. Players who decide to spend the $10 will get a bonus that includes Delta Coins (paid currency) and some weapon skins. Specifically, players will be given 750 Delta Coins, M249 Immortal skin, Vityaz Aerospace skin, CAR-15 Atlantis skin, two Premium Weapon EXP Token, and five Intermediate Weapon EXP. Players can also add the game to their wishlist.

Anyone who wants to play Delta Force in the more immediate future can look forward to the technical test in mid to late July. A specific date has not yet been given, but PS5 players who want to participate can register their interest.
