Brian Cox (Succession, revealed on The Tonight Show recently that he had mistakenly believed that signing on for Prime Video’s competition series 007: Road to a Million meant he had been cast in an upcoming James Bond film.
Cox candidly confessed his initial mix-up on the talk show, stating, “I thought it was the new James Bond film. So I said, ‘They’re finally getting me in a James Bond film!'” Cox’s unexpected involvement with the competition series came as a shock to him, as he had long harbored ambitions of portraying a James Bond villain. This squares with Cox also recently divulging that he had felt “ignored” by the producers of the James Bond movie series over the years. In an interview with GQ published in September, Cox expressed his belief that he would make an excellent Bond villain in a 007 film, though he acknowledged that his opportunity for such a role might have passed.
