Recently, imagery containing the supposed price point for the Xbox Game Pass Family & Friends program emerged online, and people got excited about the perceived value. The offer lets up to five people share a subscription for $40/month, which sounds like a pretty sweet deal. And it is… if you live in New Zealand.
Reporter Tom Warren confirmed that the pricing is for New Zealand. Warren went on to say that the Xbox Game Pass Family & Friends program is “not launching imminently in the US” as some believed it might.
if you’ve seen reports of Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family launching in the US at $40 per month, this is incorrect. This pricing is for New Zealand, and the service is not launching imminently in the US pic.twitter.com/HZYXGNTTO4

The Xbox Game Pass Family & Friends program is already available in Ireland and Colombia. Although it’s available in some parts of the world already, plans can only be shared with people in the same region or country, so if you’ve got a friend in Ireland, Colombia, or New Zealand, you cannot share with them.
