Tom Holland recently discussed how he was taking a year off from working after a shoot for the TV series The Crowded Room that the actor said was especially challenging for him. Holland not only starred in but also produced the show for Apple TV+. In a new interview, Holland clarified that his time off actually began nearly a year ago.
He told Live With Kelly and Mark (via Variety) that he is eight months into his planned year off. He said he’s been spending time “chilling” at home in London, attending racing events, and playing golf. “The press story was that I have taken this year off because of the reviews,” Holland said, adding that this isn’t the case because he actually stepped away months ago.
He admitted that The Crowded Room didn’t get favorable reviews from professional critics but he said he’s proud of the show’s 90+ rating on Rotten Tomatoes from fan reviews.
