Ubisoft Cancels Project Q, A PvP Battle Arena Game Announced In 2022 – Report

Ubisoft’s Project Q, the team battle arena game that is “not a battle royale,” has reportedly been cancelled. Ubisoft officially announced Project Q in April 2022 and opened up playtest registrations.

Insider Gaming first spotted Project Q’s cancellation via a notice in the playtest Discord. In the #announcement channel, Ubisoft thanked the playtesters but also stated that Project Q “will no longer continue development.” Project Q’s Discord channel will also be closed.

“The first closed test was a great milestone for us because of all the work put in from the team, your amazing support, and your great reception! We loved the amazing energy on this discord, it was our fuel for the project. Your feedback was a true gift and allowed us to grow as developers in order to do our best for you, our players,” the Discord announcement (via Insider Gaming) read. “All these warm moments make this announcement harder to make: sadly we have to cancel our upcoming closed tests as Project Q will no longer continue development. This also means that we will need to shut down this Discord server.”
