Nick Offerman, who starred in the latest episode of HBO’s The Last of Us, no longer plays video games because he’s worried he would get too far sucked in and would never leave his basement.
Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Offerman–who played Bill in the newest episode–said he lost a few weeks of his life to Banjo-Kazooie decades ago, and he doesn’t want to do that again.
“About 25 years ago, I played my last video game. I am very indulgent. I lost a couple of weeks to a video game called Banjo-Kazooie. Two weeks went by. The slow dopamine drip is so delicious. Then it’s over, and you’re like, ‘Yes, I won!’ And immediately I am like, ‘What have I done with my life?’ So I decided I am never going to do that again.”
