Wonder Woman Game Isn’t Live-Service, Despite Recent Job Listing

There was a bit of an uproar over the weekend after internet sleuths discovered a job listing at Wonder Woman developer Monolith Productions that mentioned prospective employees would be maintaining a live-service game. However, publisher Warner Bros. stepped in to say not so fast, my friends.

According to IGN, a WB spokesperson set the record straight about Wonder Woman, stating that it’s “a single-player action-adventure game set in a dynamic open-world. This third-person experience will allow players to become Diana of Themyscira and introduce an original story set in the DC Universe, while also featuring the Nemesis System. Wonder Woman is not being designed as a live service.”

The response came after Wccftech spotted a gameplay lead software engineer position opening at Monolith that included “helping maintain a live software product or game” as a responsibility. However, at the time of publication, this info is currently no longer part of the job description.
