The last time WWE held a major stadium event in the UK was Summerslam back in 1992. That changes with Clash at the Castle, taking place on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Principality Stadium. So why mention a castle in the PPV (or PLE) title? The main event of the evening will see Undisputed Champion Roman Reigns defend his title against Scottish wrestler Drew McIntyre. On a recent episode of Smackdown, McIntyre was attacked by members of the Bloodline after a match with Sami Zayn. Of course, not only will McIntyre want revenge, he’ll want the title that comes along with it.

As of this writing, there are three championship matches on the Clash at the Castle card. Two Europeans will be battling over the Intercontinental Championship as Gunther defends his title against Sheamus. More matches will be booked in this week.
