Xbox Partners With Special Olympics

Xbox will be partnering with the Special Olympics later this year in November and will host esports tournaments that’ll have both in-person and virtual events. And it’ll be steamed on the official Xbox Twitch channel for people to watch.

Thanks to an Xbox blog post, we know that the tournament will kick off with Rocket League on November 11, where Special Olympics athletes and Unified partners will compete against each other virtually for the opportunity to play alongside NFL athletes and WWE wrestlers in-person as a part of a live-streamed event that’ll take place on November 18, 2023, in Los Angeles.

This isn’t the first time Xbox has teamed up with the Special Olympics. In the past, it’s hosted athletes at the Microsoft Experience Center for shoutcaster training, where they develop “esports commentating skills.”
