Update: Bloober Team has confirmed Cronos: The New Dawn for September.
Original story follows…
PlayStation players should brace themselves for another month packed with major PS5 games in September 2025. If you thought August is going to be heavy on the wallet, September looks to be heavier, especially with Ghost of Yotei following straight after on October 2.
Like August 2025, September will be crowded with PS5 games
Techland recently announced that Dying Light: The Beast has been delayed from August into the following month, with a new release date of September 19. This is the same month in which we’re getting Borderlands 4 (September 12), and Silent Hill f (September 25).
Now, folks over at True Achievements are reporting that Bloober Team’s highly-anticipated horror game Cronos: The New Dawn is also scheduled for September. In scanning the game’s Xbox achievements, the website spotted a release date of September 5.
But that’s not all! Microsoft accidentally leaked the release date of Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection, which will unlock digitally on September 29 or 30, depending on your time zone.
Other than the above, Hell Is Us, NBA 2K26, Frostpunk 2, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, EA Sports FC 26, and Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles are all scheduled for September. We’re not even counting all the games yet!
Looks like we’re going to need some serious backlog and financial management heading into the final quarter of 2025.
