A new trailer for the upcoming PS5 exclusive Lost Soul Aside was released by PlayStation and UltiZero Games today. While there may have been some doubt due to multiple delays, the release date is set, and it’s coming very soon.
Lost Soul Aside will release later this month
The latest Lost Soul Aside trailer displays the various powers of Arena, the dragon-like companion of the game’s protagonist, Kaser. The companion can morph into various weapons and other tools that will help the player throughout their journey. This includes Arena Claws, which uses the companion’s claws to rip and tear through enemies in various ways. Crystal Blast spawns a plethora of orbs that damages enemies that hit them. Mountain Break sees crystals burst from the ground, which seems great for when the player is surrounded. Anyone interested in seeing these moves can check out the trailer below.
The trailer ends show its release date, August 29. The game can be preordered right now on PS5 and PC, with the base version available for $59.99. Players who do preorder will receive these three items:
- Kaser’s initial reveal outfit: The Origin
- 10x High Potion in-game items
- 500 Divinity’s Gold in-game coins
There is also a Digital Deluxe Edition of Lost Soul Aside available for $69.99. That version comes with the base game, three weapon fragment cosmetics, Arena skin: Golden Blaze, Ruby Necklace health booster, Gemstone Badge XP booster, Digital soundtrack, and Digital art book.
While there does seem to be interest in Lost Soul Aside, the PS5 community seems cautiously optimistic. In a Reddit post from the PS5 subreddit regarding the trailer above, many players express their interest, but aren’t quite convinced by what they’ve seen so far.
“If there was ever a game that needed a demo, it’s this one,” says Reddit user Resident-Forever1340.
“This is on my radar, but idk, I’m getting Forspoken vibes from it a bit. I’m seeing cool visuals and fights, but not a lot of substance other than that. A demo would be nice,” says Reddit user dixonjt89.
